In a landmark achievement for sustainable governance, the Municipality of Bustos has officially inaugurated the first-ever solar-powered municipal hall in the province of Bulacan. This pioneering initiative, led by Mayor Francis “Iskul” Juan, signals a bold commitment to renewable energy, cost efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
The project features a 99.71 kWp grid-tied solar PV system installed on the rooftop of the Bustos Municipal Hall and extended to the adjacent community hospital. By harnessing the sun’s power, the municipal complex can now generate a significant portion of its electricity needs—reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and lowering monthly power expenses.

Mayor Juan expressed his pride in the project’s completion, noting that it aligns with his vision of a smarter and greener Bustos.
“Ito po ay hakbang tungo sa mas malinis, mas matipid, at mas progresibong bayan ng Bustos,”
— Mayor Francis “Iskul” Juan
A Vision Rooted in Progress and Sustainability
For Mayor Juan, solarizing the municipal hall is more than just a cost-saving measure—it is a statement of intent. It reflects Bustos’s readiness to embrace modern, eco-friendly technologies for the benefit of its citizens and future generations.
The move sets Bustos apart as a trailblazer, inspiring other municipalities in Bulacan and across the country to follow suit.
Engineering the Future: Macspower’s Role
Behind the successful execution of this historic project is Engr. Mark Allen Perez, CEO of Macspower Corporation. Known for his dedication to renewable energy solutions, Engr. Perez oversaw the project from planning to installation, ensuring a seamless transition to solar power.
